Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am looking at purchasing a Black 2001 996 Turbo with 3,000 miles (owned by a friend). The car has been well cared for and is in showroom condition. The car has supple leather, 6-disk changer, PSM, and a few other minor options. My questions is what is a fair price for this car?

POST 2Original post

WOW! Nice find. I'm looking for the same maybe. Nice having such low miles and being a freind's ... Let me know what you get! Brad.

POST 3Original post

To give you a benchmark, I was looking at a 2001 TT with 30,000 mi-- asking price is $75k. http://www.autotrader.com/dealers/i...ar_id=172258695

POST 4Original post

My guess is mid 80's at least, unless the guy just wants to cut you a sweet deal.

POST 6Original post

3,000 miles on a four year old TT is not necessairaly a good thing! 750 miles a year does not make good for the seals, tires, fluids, ect. I would much rather buy a four year old with 25K, knowing the car was driven sufficiently to keep all things in good order.

POST 7Original post

John, I think you're right on the money about that, these cars are meant to be driven. When you turn them into a garage queen they spoil, rodents take up residence, it ain't pretty boys! Sh#t, 750 miles a yr ain't a garage queen it's a waste of machinery, what's the point? Chris
