Hello: After selling my '92 C2, I'm very close to buying a '99 996. The car has Kumho Ecsta MX tires in pretty good condition (probably 5,000 street miles). When it comes time for replacement, I'd likely go with a proper "N" designated tire. Was wondering if any of you have experience with these Kumhos and if I should make a point of them being the "wrong" tires with the seller. In general, what experiences have you had comparing N to non N designated tires on your 996's? Thank You, Joe Rothman St. Louis, MO 944S2 former KMR Firehawk series race car 996... soon

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

The MX is the only Kumho I have heard good review about. It's more for auto cross and dry weather I think but it's actually very good tires.
I have them. Did not like the "loose" feeling regarding the sidewall. I would stay away. My .02. Chad
