I've got a bad (Continental of course) tire up front. It has developed radial pull, and as a result causes the car to drift/pull to the side it is on. I've confirmed this by swapping sides, and sure enough the car pulls to whichever side the tire is on, so I know it's not an alignment issue. The pull increases with speed, and when on the highway if I let go of the wheel I'll be off the road within about 100 feet. I know the simple 'fix' for this is to purchase a new tire, which actually means purchasing (two) new tires...since I'd do both the fronts together. Problem is, they've only got about 7K on them, so I'm hoping to 'live with it' for another 8K or so before springing for some upgrades. My question to the board is: Will driving the car like this ('fighting' the pull of the drift) cause premature wear on the suspension (in particular the control arms and bushings?) I know age causes those components to wear out, and they will eventually...but I don't want to wind up costing myself 1500 for new control arms when I could have preserved them by simply spring for some new tires. Is this concern valid, or can I live with the pull for now? PS-Alignment was checked and is fine. The bad tire alone is what is causing the pull. Thanks

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
