Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

How long should a shop charge to put in a rear window regulator? This shop in Reno wants 4 hours when I see guys DIY in two. Thanks

POST 2Original post

My rear passenger window won't go up, and my top won't fully lock. I am being told by a shop here in Miami that the part alone (just for the window) is about $700 plus labor. Seems excessive to me.

POST 3Original post

Yes, I think I paid like 600 last year for the regulator....I ended up installing it myself.....do a search in this forum and renntech.....you will find the required information with pictures....there is a guy in NY that repairs the regulators, if you want to give him a try....he repairs yours for 140.00....he also sells rebuilt units...he charges 440.00 (minus 70.00) if you send him yours as a core..... so the total cost is 370.00.......windowregulatorusa dot com....I have no interest or business relationship with them....just an FYI...........

Rear windows will not go up until the top is latched.
