Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So I want to enroll both my sister and I in a Driver Education course in the Boston area. The question is do I have to be a PCNA member to do that, or can I enroll myself directly - and if so where can I do that? Thanks

POST 2Original post

just be advised.... she might show you up I seriously have seen some women come out and out drive thier hubbies... I think its something to do with the anger that they have all stored up from all the time he spent in the garage... they just let it ALL out and the poor little cars get a real work out :P LOL wtg, good luck getting there.... and you might as well just fill out the rest of your checks to the motorsportreg site

Morning RS: You have a bunch of options. You can head out to Limerock (Lakeville CT) and enroll (directly) into a Skip Barber class. You can investigate NASA or Hooked on Driving and find out when they are going to a track that you can attend. As I mentioned to you before, I suggest that you join PCA. I believe that the cost is $42.00/year....you get Panorama magazine but more importantly you will meet other P-car members with various model cars and interests. Northeast Region has a great website (go to PCA.org) and then lookup Northeast region. They have a page dedicated to DE's. I think you and your sister would greatly benefit from doing your first ever track event with your region and an instructor (mandatory in green group). I am sure you will enjoy the experience.

POST 4Original post

Joing the PCA is your best option. You are required to be a member in order to participate in the PCA sponsored events. I'm a local member and although I don't participate in the club as much as I'd like, I always enjoy the DEs. NHIS is a short drive away and you'll get plenty of Porsche specific instruction if you go during a PCA event. Shawn

POST 5Original post

Join PCA for $42. The North Country Region of PCA has a 2-day event going on at New Hampshire Motor Speeedway (NHMS) formerly known as New Hampshire International Speedway (NHIS) on August 2nd & 3rd. You will have a great time and as others have alluded to, your wallet will never be the same. You may want to save some time and start looking for a tow vehicle, enclosed trailer, dedicated track car, etc, etc. Oh, and since someone is bound to ask......is your sister hot??

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quick question - you mean for me to do a DE event at Limerock I must install a roll bar on my Cabriolet?

POST 7Original post

Lime Rock (LRP) is strict about roll bar requirements. You won't get on the track there with a cabriolet without a roll bar. Like I said before, Come to NHMS in August and you will have a blast. Your 996 Cab will be accepted as long as you keep the roof up.
