Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

i have a canary yellow 996 har top in mint condition. anyone would like to have it PM me with an offer or post it here. thank you for your interest P.S. i will post some pics later today

POST 3Original post

cd.....canary yellow? Did you order it paint to sample or just make up that color? My guess is that is it either Speed Yellow or Pastel Yellow. Probably why you aren't getting any bites on it.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

canary yellow was not a standard porsche color, it was a way more expensive option, yet factory. here is a photograph of a 2002 Porsche 996 C4S/GT2 (Supercharged) in canary yellow

POST 5Original post

I know what canary yellow is and I know it is possible to get, that's why I asked the question...."paint to sample". And because it is paint to sample you will probably have a very hard time selling it. You'll probably have to unload it cheaply since a potential buyer would need to have it repainted.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

got ya. true , but then again it would make a great offset on a speed yellow.

POST 8Original post

Why would a buyer have to have it repainted Dell? edit: sorry, I misunderstood. I didn't realize that it was hardtop only. Now I see.

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

the hard top is in mint condition. i believe it would look pretty sharp. a slightly darker yellow than the body.

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

bump the top is still available

POST 11Original post

Ohhh Ceee, O-Kayyy, 'Cos you seem like a nice guy -- I am willing to pay you full fare for the canary yellow top... All I ask is that you 'throw in the rest of the dang car!' Like, what's up with that? A topless canary?

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

i am the flippin' nicest guy you ever meet...lol but you're pretty nice yourself, there ohhh, i see... you've been hanging too much with heinricco... his sense of humor must have been rubbed off on you. or you had some of fabios funny-pills... haha i've got it from ozzy osbourne. believe it or not... he knows a lot about topless birds

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

here are some pics of the top

POST 18 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

yes but it can be redyed to any other color... black would be easiest.

POST 19 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

i still have the top if anyone is interested

POST 21 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

the color is actually NOT red, but rather a dark brown.

POST 23Original post

oh dear God, would somebody please buy this damn top

POST 24Original post

LVDell, you have me laughing and crying! I think this 'canary' was, perhaps, 'red' at one time... but... with age... hanging out... it's matured, deepened... into a dark, dark brown... There must be a car out there, somewhere, that can 'put this lid on it', so to speak! PULEEZE! Put this 'bird' to rest! Kim

POST 25 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

hahahahahahahaha heeeeeey wassup with that , doc?

POST 26Original post

I am now officially taking up a collection so I can buy this top and then pull an Office Space Fax Machine on it I'll let y'all know when I reach my target ogoal of raising the $10

POST 28 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

sorry, but the canary flew away

POST 29Original post

So now what the hell am I supposed to do with the $2.83 I raised to buy the top?

POST 30Original post

Oh, just put it toward some thing MUCH more useful than a canary top. Get one of these, it's the best mod no one will ever see!

POST 32 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

for your collection, i'll let you print out a high gloss picture of it.

POST 34Original post

Put it toward that personality transplant you been needing..........?????????????

POST 35Original post

That would be great! I'll frame it and put it out in my garage with the rest of the P-Car prints I see Gretch posted something which I am sure is bottom feeding in nature as usual (I can't see it though). God, I love the ignore list

POST 36Original post

Wrong, the gas station attendant will see it, and won't he be delighted and surprised that you've gone out of your way to impress him.

POST 37Original post

Yeah, I forgot that in NJ the attendants still have to pump the gas. Is it that way in NY, too? The attendant's greasy, oily fingerprints will show up much better on the aluminum gas cap!

POST 38Original post

Certain stations in the city (that's New York City to everyone outside the tristate area) still have full service only, but frankly, there's not that many of them left.

POST 39 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

when i was in the city last, the guy there gave me a dirty look and told me to 'get the **** back in the ******* car' ... i was like ' yessur '. must have been one of those 'fugettabout getting out of the ride stations'. life here in da south is sooooo much simpler...
