Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

for the people that have done a double DIN install (I'm installing a Kenwood 7100), did you cut the piece that the radio/AC/PSM rocker, etc snaps into or did you get another OEM piece that accepts double DIN units? I'm talking about the piece that has the cupholders attached at the very top. thanks... josh

POST 2Original post

You do not need to do anything to the horseshoe trim piece. You just need to cut the brace that seperated where your AC and Radio boxes were.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Perfect. That's exactly the info I was looking for. What about the "screw holes" where the A/C unit screwed into? Do those need to be cut off as well or simply the "crossbar" that separates the radio and A/C? thanks for the help... josh
