Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

OK, who has a few extra motors laying around?

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've seen several 3.4s out there. Can't seem to find a 3.6 though.

POST 6Original post

I have a nice 2002 block getting LN 3.8 sleeves. $4,000.

POST 7Original post

Im thinking about this for the next time I drop my engine. Can you post more about this build or start a thread? I would love to do the 3.6 to 3.8 conversion during a rebuild.

POST 8Original post

You gonna rip the engine apart for maybe 25hp?

POST 9Original post

If your rebuilding anyway, why not? Same price as new OEM pistons, rings, etc. With the liners you get a bump in CR, displacement, and power.

POST 10Original post

im debating on doing a engine refresh and turbo it, doing a 3.6 swap or getting a 3.6 and go 3.8 or 4.0 on it. dont know btw mine is a 2000 c2 3.4l

I have a Turbo kit from TPC that only has 300 miles on it. Was utilized for engine development for one of my engine configurations. Its not even dirty and I no longer have a need for it :-)
