Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Gents, I need to replace and or Upgrade the wattage of the existing non-xenon light bulb in the Targa - Does anyone know if I can bump up the watts? It seems so dull - Thank you in advance RJM.

POST 3Original post

Why do yo need to upgrade? If it's old it probably has just become dim. A new one will probably suffice.

Hey, Deckman, I resemble that remark!!!!

POST 5Original post

Didn't mean to touch a nerve Tim! The whole statement could have an alternate meaning!

POST 6Original post

Stick to 55 watts. A higher wattage bulb will generate more heat and will melt the plastic lens of the headlight assembly. Trust me on this one.

POST 7Original post

First, exactly which bulb are you talking about? The main headlight?? You can go with a superwhite bulb, but no higher wattage. If it's a side marker or interior I can give you a link for good LEDs.

POST 8Original post

I agree with programmatore. Don't go higher wattage. I have seen the results and the melted/discolored plastic light housings look horrible and can only be fixed by replacement as the damage is done on the inside. JIM
