Never tracked my car, but wanted to explore that this summer. Question: What track and schools have members learned on and/or recommend. Tracks close to my location: Brainerd, Road America... Thanks in advance.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Get hooked up w/ an event at Brainerd- it's a fabulous track and your P-car will love it there. You won't be disappointed. I drove 1000 mi for a 3-day track event there years ago, then drove the 1000 mi back home. Trunk and back seat was loaded w/ wheels & tires. Track events w/ a good instructor are worth every penny invested. Good luck!
I attended the Bondurant 4 day Racing School in Phoenix Jan 2007. They now have newer Corvettes for the students. We had eleven students with four instructors and I was pleased with what I learned. Even Mr Bondurant was there for all four days. I picked Arizon because it is dry most of the time. The fourth day is open wheel cars and the first three days are the school part. While I track my 996, learning to drive in a front engine car was instructive. I like my rear engine set up better for sure. Check out the website for more info.

Thanks TD. Appreciate the attitude.
IMO, Save your money - go to a PCA DE (Driver Education) first. You are required to have classroom sessions and some slow speed runs with an instructor. It will give you good idea. If you are still interested, then go to a school. Any one of the ones mentioned above will be good. Spend $500-600 first, get a taste....then spend $2500-4000 for a school. Just my .02. C.

Greg, Don't get yourself all tizzied up. Rennlist is a great forum, and we are a good bunch with lots of info to share. The DAFS is meant in good fun, since information is readily abundant here. Stick around and you'll see your exact question pop up next month, and the month after that, and then a few months later. Pretty soon even you will recognize that the search is there for a reason... No one (including me) is trying to be mean. But, if you are truly offended, just put me on block. I really don't mind. I've been here long enough, and posted enough DIYs, help threads and advice to not be offended by one user ignoring me. INSTRUCTIONS: Click [USER CP], on the left is a [Buddy/Ignore Lists] link. In the <Ignore List> type in td873 and click save list. AND Just for the record: if you actually did a search (just in the drivers education forum) you will find at dozens of relevant threads. Here is just one search result with 61 SEPARATE threads related to your question. All I did was type "school" in the search titles box. https://rennlist.com/forums/search.php?searchid=2213623 These schools include Barber/Panoz, Bondurat, PDA, NASA, etc., etc. Also, there are dozens of threads on DE vs. Schools. -td
