A few months ago, I made the decision to get down to only one car. I sold the Lexus and 993 to purchase a 996 C4. Great decision! I even went out and purchased a second set of wheels with dedicated snow tires. So why is it that when I woke up this morning, looked out the window and saw it snowing, I now feel like calling in sick until next spring? For cyring out loud, I just waxed my car!!!!

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Don't worry about it. Do you have some protection for your front end. I reccomend the clear braw for the rocks. I drive my C2 all year, to VT, etc in the snow with dunlop snows. You will be amazed at how well it does, and will even have some fun on traffic free/snow covered roads if you want. Enjoy it, and wax it again in the spring, put regular wheels back on, and it will feel like a new car again. Jeff
Porsche are made to be driven, not to be garage queens, do porsche proud and drive it. I drive my C2 in the Canadian winters and its a great car for snow..I know how you feel until I saw how much fun our cars are in the snow.
It is not you that I would worry about -- you have a C4 with snow tires -- it's the other drivers. Just give them plenty of room and you should be fine.
Buy some clip on mud flaps from Tweeks and you will feel better I clip them on in the winter and take the off in the spring after the sand and salt are off the roads.
Beleive me I understand! Even with my Mercedes ( which is a 4matic) I'd rather stay home than ever drive in the snow again....body shops call snow days their "full employment " program
