and it arrives early next week. it was a deal i could not pass up, i didn't want to spend the extra $ on PSE and i've read that this is a great compromise if you don't want it super loud. at worst, i switch back to stock, but i saw this oppty as being able to save $650 vs. buying the PSE. anyhoot, i'm excited and will post upon installation., THANKS BRI at GHL and THANK YOU RENNLIST!

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

oalvarez, you are going crazy with the mods! I have the GHL and like it, i think it is loud enough. i still have a few weeks to go before i get my row m030 (i think it is being surface-shipped from germany), but was glad to hear that you liked your installation. are you still as happy with it as day 1? have you had the chance to take it on some twisties? i really hope it will get rid on the floatiness at high speed, and make the car feel more connected to the road on the twisties...
the ghl also weighs less than the pse (unexpected benefit). the quality, fit and finish are worthy a p-car as well. fwiw, last week at willow i was told my '00 carerra w/ ghl mufflers, sounded near identical to the '04 gt3 circling the track...the comments came from two bystanders on the front straight.
Good choice, that deal is too good to pass up if you need an exhaust.
modding doesn't end does it? i just got my C2 in jan! and if you want it a little louder, get a cold air kit too c
Silver, to answer your question, i have taken it on "soft" twisties and i can't seem to push the car hard enough. in all honesty, i have not taken the car on harder turns (albeit i have taken the thing on some nasty 90 degree turns/on-off ramps) but what i have come to enjoy and love is the fact that my kidneys/innards are not being jolted out of place. there is a newfound firmness, rigidity (sway bars), and sense of control and contact with the car and road. as i said on an earlier post, "it is right for ME" and that's what is most important. does it sit as low as some aftermarket set of springs/shocks? no. it doesn't. does the car stutter and skip like some say is the case with the X74? no, it doesn't. do i worry about damaging the under-belly? no, i don't. did i have to spend $2k just for parts? no, got it from carnewal.com for much much less. do i retain "liquidity" in the secondary markets with this setup? yes, i do, because it's OEM and accepted. go ahead, come down to sunny los angeles and take it out for a spin, and challenge anyone with X74/Pss9 for a race around town, but not on the track. regards
The GHL exhaust is right where I wanted it, aggressive but livable or as the oenophile might say, cheeky without insolence. On the topic of suspension, the front end might be a tad floaty for compliance but the rear does not seem to be. It might be fun to try stiffening the shock rate on the front within the bounds of oversteer.
