Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Car went into shop on Monday to get the bent rim replaced... Rim still hasnt come in yet from Porsche... supposed to be in yesterday, they say today... how f'n long can it take? This is a LW carrera 5 spoke 18 in the NY Tri-state area too. If it doesnt come today, going to order from sunset overnight for tomorrow and then just have an extra rim (apparently once part is ordered cannot cancel). Ridiculous. Or am I overthinking this? Should I get long an extra rim? Sorry for the rant, but really want the car back.

POST 2Original post

They're waiting for the ebay seller to ship it to them.

POST 3Original post

i heard free-for-pickup on local craigslist is more popular those days. rcg412, what shop is it?

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

rennwerke... i think they get their parts from Pepe, or the NY distributor of parts.

POST 5Original post

well, Pepe is very big, they should have that in stock. just bug them and make sure you get it back before weather turns good for the weekend!

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

yeah - they didnt. actually no dealer did. called Prestige, Paul Miller, Jack Daniels... only one who did was Sunset in Oregon,, which is $300 cheaper... 200 with o/n fedex shipping!

POST 7Original post

If it was me, I would pay the $200 extra, have Sunset ship the rim. Have the dealer install it on Friday. When the new rim comes in from the dealer--return it to Sunset for a refund. That, or, keep the extra rim for a spare.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

thats what I think I am going to do if it is not in today.
