Porsche 996 The Essential Companion: Supreme Porsche (Essential Companion) kristap turned me on to this book and it arrived today from Amazon. Its the exact kind of detail I'd be hoping to stumble across and then much much more regarding the history of the 996, complete with specifications, all kinds of other manufacturing data, including dispelling a lot of internet myths vs the air-cooled Porsches I also grabbed Porsche: The Engineering Story by [the late] Jeff Daniels [ evo ]; haven't cracked it open yet. Add these to your Xmas list if you don't already have them

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Adrian's book is excellent and a must have, let us know how you like the other book.
Great book. Many Rennlisters have our cars featured (with pictures) in his book.
My copy arrived several weeks ago, but I've not had a chance to read it yet... skimming through it I can see why everyone raved about it when it was released.
