Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Nice. Thanks. Do you have any other angles? Assume those are the cup skirts?
Yes I do, but not at work. Yes, they are the Aerokit II (Cup II) side skirts. IMHO, they are the single most important visual improvement. The give the car visual substance. At speeds above 125, I sometimes feel that my car could feel a little more planted. It is not unstable by any means, but I have been considering installing more Porsche Aero parts, perhaps the rest of the Aerokit II. I go back and forth, because I think that my car looks elegant now, and it does not have any "serious" problems at speeds above 125. I am afraid that the front nose of the Aerokit II will create clearance problems for me and the rear wing will look either ricer or GT3 wannabe (and both might affect resale). I am still thinking . . .
Thanks. I have clearance issues where I live so I am not lowering, and have done all the racing I'm going to do in this life. Can you post or PM the pix next time you are near them please?
Will do. You won't regret the sideskirts.
here is my sideskirts before I put anything else on.
Nice. Which skirts are those?
They look like the Carrera Side Skirts (have more of a rounded pattern). The ones on Todd's are the Cup II side skirts which are more defined in the lines. Kirb's Part Number for an 02+ 000 044 802 05 Todd's Part Number for an 02+ 000 044 802 15
Thanks Dell. You are the part number guru!
You're welcome Lee. Glad I could help! The skirts are more of a prefernce than anything. It just depends on which look you like better.
Notice that they do not have as sharp of a crease in them as the Cup skirts
Orient, Is that the stock nose, and do you have other angles? TIA
This car is a 2002 with a stock nose Here are some shots without the bra:
Nice! Thanks. Any installation issues with this version on an 02+?
normally when someone shows you their skirt you want to take stuff off not put it on! Nice picture of the skirts, even if they don't blow up over subway street vents.
Lee, i'm have an extreme make-over for my babe soon too ( aerokit II skirts and turbo nose)... I'm also wondering about installation tips/tricks. good lucks...
No, it is very straight forward. The top edge is held on with 3M trim tape, and the bottom is held by 10-12 screws which screw into fasteners that are clipped to the bottom body weld seam. No Drilling is required. The only semi tough part is that on the trailing edge in the rear wheel well, there is a mounting screw under the fender liner, so you have to take off the rear wheel to get the fender liner out of the way. At install time, make sure there is no wax on the paint where you apply the trim tape. Get someone to help you position the flair. Pull the tape protective coating last. Position the flair, put the bottom screws in, get it positioned correctly. The top of the flair should be about a quarter inch below the accent crease on the rear quarter panel behind the door. One recommendation is that if you put any type of flair on your Porsche, that after you have the flairs painted, take them to someone that does the Stoneguard film, and have the entire flair covered. These things are very soft, and the paint will be ablated away in short order (especially the leading edge that faces the front wheel well) if they are not protected. I have covered mine, and they still look very good. I give this mod a difficulty rating of 7 out of 10.
Thanks. I think if I do it I'll just have a bodyshop do the whole thing. Did you have them painted and wait before having the film applied? If so, how long did you wait?
Orient Red Metallic or what red is it?
The paint needs to "cure" about 1-2 weeks before applying the Stoneguard. I would suggest that you have the flairs painted, take them home and let them sit for 2 weeks, then take them to a Stoneguard dealer, have the film installed, then finally take them to a bodyshop for installation. Of have the bodyshop subcontract out the film application for you. BTW, the Orient Express is Orient Red metallic.
Cool. All I gotta do now is recover from April 15th. That will take a few months :-(
Uncle Sam. please be gentle
Too late for me. I'm gonna be walking funny for a few months. AMT.
