just blowing off steam guys... was in bumper-to-bumper traffic after work, the guy behind obviously was focused on something else, let off brake, car went forward and just tapped me from behind. Got out, really pissed, it was an old old man. Checked for damage, saw nothing and let him go (not sure why, maybe cuz he is old?!) When I got home, washed the bumper and saw that maybe there are some really small scratches on one of the bumperettes. To be honest, not really worried about the tiny scratches but just feel ticked off, even now, don't know why... just hate it when **** like this happens!

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Try buffing it out with some wax. Bumperette can be easily repainted so don't worry too much. It happens sooner or later.
I had the same thing happen to me in the city, the first week I had the car I was at a light on 12th and fifth ave when I felt a sharp bump from behind. Man, I was pissed, I worked 1/2 my adult life for that car and some f#cker just hit me! Well, it was an 85yo man, he was apologizing profusely and started to cry. I let him go, no damage. Ever since then, I always take a look in the rear view to see whose behind me while stopped at a light.
Man, that does sound extremely familiar. I felt exactly the same too - I was so pissed because I worked hard for my love of cars and this mindless idiot just acted carelessly without thinking of the consequences. But then I saw that he was an old man and I ended up feeling sorry for him! Re checking the rearview mirror : I had this experience - I was in my 92' Integra GSR and in front of a 18-wheeler. Traffic was bumper-to-bumper and I had come to a stop. I glanced at the rearview mirror and noticed that he wasn't slowing down! Thump! He hit me THEN continued to push forward without realising he had hit me! He almost made a sandwich out of me with the car in front until I squeezed my way onto the next lane, all this time I was pounding my horn! He eventually woke up and pulled over. The idiots that are out there... I hardly get near any 18-wheelers nowadays.
*But then I saw that he was an old man and I ended up feeling sorry for him!* Well, with some luck you'll reach geezer age as well. Just remember to hitch your pants up to within 20 CM of your arm pits and you'll fit right in.
I feel your pain. I was hit 2 weeks ago and I'm still waiting on the guys insurance investigator to get back with me.
Last summer on the NJ Garden State I was in 4 lanes of bumper-to-bumper traffic in 90+ degrees. Looking in my rearview mirror I saw the guy behind me dozing off from time to time. It took me 5 min. to get into the next lane, but I coudn't wait to get out from in front of him. I was just waiting to be rear-ended. So, I always look to see who is behind me and hope for the best.
JUST SHOOT HIM He's almost gone anyway
