rear centre console in leather

does anyone have the rear centre console in leather? i am looking at getting one but it looks like i will have to hit the dealer as i have yet to see one for sale on E bay etc. Any comments from those who have it? when you build one on the Porsche site, it looks pretty good from the various angles imo.

its very nice. fully leather covered and with a dual line of stiching going down the middle.

Moogle, Are you refering to the Carnewal one or another? Didn't see the stitching on the one from Gert.

Ray the carnewal one is the smae as the factory option. if you look very closely, you can see a line of double stitching running from the center of the gearshift boot area all the way to the little compartment in the back. its hard to see in that picture gert sent me a high-res pic a long time ago, its clearly there. i will try to find it later.

It would be nice if there as one available with the blue RS stitching to match the RS steering wheel and shift boot.

that sort of stuff would fall under the exclusive department you can't get that from the factory, as the exclusive department will only make replacement parts. there are 2 ways, 1, find someone who got it from the factory, borrow their VIN, and wait 3 months for the exclusive department to get you a new one. 2. have an aftermarket stitching/upholstry company restitch the console with your desired colour.

Is there any way to just order the lid for the storage compartment in the stitched leather and not the whole console? I believe that alone would make a big difference in the look. Kris

Take your existing lid to a leather upholstery shop and they can do it.

I think there is one on Ebay now for $40

Kris: i just ordered the whole console and the split stiched storage lid from Carnewal. They sell the lid for 185 euro or something like that. It is not on their site but Gert, presumably the owner, confirmed it for me as i wanted that matching part. i also ordered the leather stitched airbag as well. Hey Scott: if you read this thanks again for the link. My stealer still hadn't even responded to an email so i figured screw them. Carnewal resonded the next morning!

that one is just a smooth leather cover. Probably same as my stock full leather one.

go to the porsche site and build a C4s; under the leather options choose the rear centre console and look at the close up of their flash digital view. Gives a good feel of the piece i think.

I would like to see a couple good photos when you are done if you would be so kind. I am interested in this as it completes the leather for nearly every surface. Are the small snap in panels near the footwells in the car currently leather? You must reuse these I assume? With the lid, do you get the sides for the rear area? I guess in short, when you install the new pieces is the whole console in leather or are the still vinyl peices? I have e-mailed Gert for pricing to my town, just wanted to get some details straight. Brick; i will put up some pic's when i get it in and installed. they should be here near the end of the month. the whole inside will be serious leather; 4 senses going at once - smell, sight, touch and oh yea, sound as the RPM's pull!
