Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm looking at tires for my 996 Turbo and what I'm finding are the OEM size tires really vary in diameter, some more than others. With all wheel drive what is the max difference in diameter you have found that didnt affect the drive train or PSM.

POST 2Original post

Porsche says you should be inside a max delta of 3% in rolling diameter. There are many websites that will compute this for you as well. Sorry, I am not on my usual computer so I don't have the links to give you. If nobody has posted anything by the time I get back to my computer I will post them.

Thanks I'll see what Google finds also

POST 5Original post

If you are just getting tires for OE wheels.........don't worry about tire maker 'diameter' numbers. Just shop for PS, PS2, Conti, etc in 225/40 and 295/30........they'll all be close enough.
