why so much posts about the RMS??

hi there i have been reading on this fourm and others about RMS and i know ithere is a cost factor in it ( i had a 996 4s and sold it at in 2 years 75km waiting for the 997TT and i had one RMS leak and porsche paid for it im not trying to say that it isnt a headache and does make you wish it wasnt there.. but IT IS and from what i have read from the other board and other cars such as the 993 and 964 and i beilve most if not all porsche had thier own few issues and im sure most of us know what they are... i know that with all the talk that porsche is the most profitable car company and most guys worry about build standers and having issues with the cars, but i beilve porsche is the BEST sports car out there even with its problems and the best thing about it is that i CAN use it daily and it wont cost me an arm and a leg (i have tried it) its the ONLY sports car that i want to buy i just have trust in porsches and how good they are YA EVEN WITH THE RMS.. i would rather pay $1500 per year or even $3000 for the RMS rather than paying that for small parts for a ferrari or a lambo...do you think other cars havent got problems?? ya even at $200k or $400K? porsche gives you VALUE for money (no i dont work for porsche i just love them so guys go out there and DRIVE the cars they are great and i will be driving my porsche 997TT once it gets here (and ya 1st year isnt an issue at least with ME) take care guys i just want to see more people enjoying the good things about porsche and less talk about the RMS trust me there are alot more good things about the cars and people shouldnt forget that

dsd.....the smartest thing you can do is delete this thread. If you feel like starting a thread that will just **** people off then you have done it. However, if you want to just read up on "what the big deal is with RMS" then do a frickin search and read from here to the end of time. This is by the far the worst thread to start with the amount of times it has ALREADY been addressed.

I believe what disappoints a lot of people about RMS is that it is a fairly common problem that has been around for about six years, and Porsche wasn't able to engineer a permanent RMS fix during the entire life cycle of the 996.

Todd, I think it is summed up with "nothing realy matter" BTW, where in the world did you come up with those lyrics?

I don't know, it just seems like a mini-opera and the words seemed to fit the music to bohemian rhapsody. (It is actually sort of funny if you listen to the song while you read the lyrics I made up) I can actually see the accompanying RMS video in my mind. I think it would be hilarious for 996 owners if I could film it, but who has the time . . . Being able to crack oneself up is always a good talent to have . . . Too bad not everyone else shares my finely tuned sense of humor

i dont and dint mean to offend people about the RMS issue but i want to say that there are also MANY good things about porsche and the 996 i think people should talk more about these things LVDell you delete the mgs or anyone who doesnt like it...i have the right to my opinon and im not here to **** off other porsche fans and thats a fact

dsd...calm down and go take your meds. As I said, if you are interested in reading about all the RMS crap there is then do a SEARCH. Your current post is a dead horse and is adding nothing of value to this forum. The stuff that does add value is the stuff that hasn't been beat to death (unless of course there is a new take on it). By the way, you didn't **** me or anybody off, just lose the attitude.
