I have received a 996 cab. from a customer today that come to find out has a broken top frame. On the passenger side at the base that mounts to the body, the pivot arm has broken off at the press fit bolt. Has any one heard of this happening out of the blue or is there a history of this being a weak point. A few other parts are broken as well. The side flaps and the flap in the center are broken also. A top was put on this car about 4 months and all seemed well at that point. maybe a stress crack finally gave way. Any help would be great.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
