Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

completed the orange cap & bmc f1 mods . sound is noticeably enhanced after 4K rpm's. because i have nothing better to do, i did a few time trials. 3rd gear - 4K rpm to 6K rpm: before mods: 4.53s - 4.69s after mods: 4.32s - 4.48s interesting that the spread was exactly .16s (pure coincidence of course). sm 04 c4s cab

POST 2Original post

how did you do these m,easuraments? by stopwatch? if yes this way is not reliable...reaction time might cause differences, as well as observation of the needle at the speedometer cannot be accurate.... even acelaration meters mounted on windscreens are not that accurate i.e: g-force meter how did you do it, anyway....

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

i tested with the faithful timex & completed a number of tests. probably about a dozen or so w/ & w/o the mods. accurate or not, the times were lower after the mods. and, i would think the discrepancy in the high/low would help with the overall accuracy?? you are correct though, this is not a science. sm
