Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi I normally post in the 964 forum. Recently the good value of the euro against the dollar made me look at 996 in the US. What would be the price range of a cabriolet , manual (preferably black)? I see some of them on ebay, but I have got the feeling there are more 996 for sale in the US (haven't sold the 964 yet) thanks!

POST 2Original post

You need to give us an idea of what years you would consider and how many miles on the car you would find acceptable..

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

thanks for your quick reply, I would consider all years and mileage as long as the car is good. I have seen 964 with less miles than mine in very bad state. I think if a porsche is properly maintained it is solid cheers

POST 4Original post

The 996 has so many options that i would be hard to narrow down a price range. You don't enough detail on what you really want for anyone to give anymore than a vague range from $30,000 on up. Your requirements are still extremely vague. A good place to start is ebay and look at completed auctions to see what cars actually sold. You can also try traderonline.com, cars.com, etc. These sites have lots of cars for sale and will give you a feel for what is available. Good luck!

POST 5Original post

You will love the 996 and prices nave never been better!

POST 6Original post

I think you could easily find a nice 996 cab in the $30-$55K range depending on model year and equipment. Good luck with your search.
