Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

36 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I thought I would never see one in person. It is much nicer in person and I loved pictures of it.

POST 4Original post

What is it? and what is in your sideview mirror?

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

aston martin rapide. much better looking than the Panamera

POST 6Original post

Yea, that is sharp. I wonder what are the comparo #'s vs. Panamera? From all the Pana's I have seen here in South FL, there pry won't be many Rapide's on the streets.

POST 7Original post

Kyle, tons of them on the road in my city, see many/day

It's a Plymouth Laser. Aston did a great job in designing that car. As much as the Panamera has grown on me its big fat butt just lacks the elegance of the Rapide. -Eric

POST 9Original post

When I 1st saw the first pics I thought it was one of those new Jaguars

POST 10Original post

I'm still waiting on the Panamera to grow on me. Actually, I'm still waiting on the Cayenne to grow on me. Porsche should stick to cars with two doors and engines behind the driver.

POST 11Original post

A Panamera looks like a Hummer knocked-up my Carrera.

POST 12Original post

Cayenne turbos look pretty hot to me these days

POST 13Original post

Quotes source post: 8926554

YA for real, what kind of kit'ed out orange van is that?

POST 15Original post

It's an Aston Martin Rapide and it's what the Panamera should have been.

You have an Aston Martin next to you on the road. Which car will you be paying attention to? That is like going to a bar and spending time chasing down the ugliest ones.

POST 18Original post

BTW I thought it was a Pana in the pics...so my earlier reference to "those are all over the place in my town" was referring to the wrong car....I have not seen one of these...maybe I will swing by the Austin dealer tonight see if they have one and kick the tires...tell em i am thinking about it

POST 19Original post

I have however seen the ugly girls at the bar

My world becomes a better place when I pretend they don't exist.

POST 21Original post

There is one I have seen in Ramsey, NJ area few time, Backseat is MUCH smaller than the Panomerarararra

The MkI Cayenne looks like something out of Angry Birds to me. The current gen is much better looking. I get the notion that every Porsche needs to look like a Porsche but why does that mean that every Porsche needs to look like a 911? It means that the 911 is the purest of their cars and everything else is a 911 on steroids...or some hallucinogen...because whoever approved the Pana's design after seeing its *** in a design studio must have had a funny brownie at work. When you look at a Ferrari, you know that it's a Ferrari but while they share many styling cues not every Ferrari has to have the same set of headlights. -Eric

I was ready to call so much BS about you seeing tons of Rapides in your town and then you had to come and post this.

POST 25Original post

I have not seen a single one here in the Bay Area yet. Well, probably they are out there, but I have not seen these. I don't know about you guys but all these 4 door sport sedans are not growing on me yet. I guess I need to get older or something?

POST 26Original post

Quotes source post: 8927257

Well you asked me a question so I'll answer it for you. I would be paying 90% attention to the Aston as I plan to buy a Vantage in about 2 years. I would be paying 9% attention to other vehicles around me, and 1% specifically for that weird looking van behind me/you. That's all. Slow your role big guy.

Thus, as I have reiterated before, the orange van is insignificant. If you are hurt by the banter, we promise to play nice in the sand box just for you going forward.

POST 28Original post

I saw a new Bentley today. Similar lines but a bit more refined. I wouldn't kick either one out of my garage.

POST 29Original post

I've seen a couple of the Rapides in Houston and Austin. Great looking cars.

POST 30Original post

I like the Panamera... In some colors. Horrible in white, but good in dark grays and silver. There is a new brown this year that I really wonder about. Awful. Let's also remember that the Rapide begins around $200k.

POST 31Original post

just keeping it real

I'm not a fan of brown cars in general but sports cars (including any vehicles claiming to be sport oriented) shouldn't be brown. -Eric

POST 33Original post

macadamia over natural brown = a beautiful car.... but I also think gutted and rattle canned purple is cool

POST 34Original post

Quotes source post: 8926838

After busting effortlessly down the autobahn at a buck-forty in a Panamera I get it. The car is, and always will be, ugly to me. But to drive one is to understand it. It really is a nice car. Porsche also needs to stay in business. The Cayenne is it's number one selling model. That being said, the Rapide just oozes class.

POST 35 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 8929639

Would you get the Pana TurboS or the Rapide? I think the decision is fairly one sided.
