Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

hi all, my car , 996 carrera 2 01, pre face lift mod, has not a glove box under the pass air-bag. is this normal?

POST 2Original post

yes its normal. its nice for about the manual, and not much else you guys get a plastic tray in the driver footwell for this my glovebox handle snapped off in my hand the other day, that pissed me off. my car is only 2 years old, bought new, and ive only opened it a few times. your not missing out on much, just one less thing to break.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

moogle, u did reply to both my messages...thanks... you are correct again but a glove box it is alwys usefull...and for me it is only oppened when police stops me....to show docs...i.e 10 time a year... this is very annoying , not to have a glove box , because i have to keep docs in the leather booklet under the wheel steering just above my knees...and that make me sometimes i bit nervous since my legs hit it....

POST 4Original post

What about in the front trunk inside the cover for the spare?

POST 5Original post

like he said, the man uses his sportscar properly, and gets pulled over 10+ times a year, so he needs easy access to his documents!

POST 6Original post

Maybe he should tape them to his window... "just a minute officer, let me raise the window"

POST 7Original post

Personally, I find the space in the door compartments and in between the seats to be plenty.

POST 8Original post

I've thought of that too, but the documentation also has the manual with directions for getting into the front trunk when the battery dies. I live with the periodic knee-bump.
