Just sold my 01 996 for $33k. Advertised price was $36k. Right after the appointment to exchange the car and a cashier's check was arranged, I got someone who want to pay $35k. I just kept my word and sold it to the first person at $33k even though the 48 hours passed since we agreed on a price. Was that a good price I got? This forum said my 01 996 black/black tip 28k miles should go for $31k - 32k. Private party value according to the KBB is $37k, but others say the black book values are more realistic. Can anyone look up the value in the Black Book? I think you need to pay for their service. Options: Technic package (bi-xenon headlamps) Comfort package (power seats) Tiptronic Wheel caps with colored crest

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Congrats on the sale. Without knowing the options on the car, it's hard to tell you what you should have sold it for... Assuming it was in great shape, with a Tip and with average options, I think you sold it either right at market price or slightly low taking the low mileage into account. FYI, I sold my 2000 996 Tip in July of 2007 for $36k.

$36k in July 07? Nice. At what mileage? Mine had minimum options. For my future reference when I sell my 08 997 (which I'll picking up this month), can I ask how you sold your 00 996? Internet ad? Some guy told me that he had a sign posted on his car at his country club.
