Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone now where I can get my fenders rolled in the bay area?? Preferably san jose area?? They actually were done but when I put on techart 19's they started to rub when going over bumps and hard freeway on ramp turns?? I think they were origionally done on most of the fender but when you get to the part where the metal fender meets the rear bumper cap the appear to not be finished?? I think that is where they are now rubbing?? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated Thanks Andreas __________________

POST 2Original post

I am confused by your posting. Only the front fenders should need to be rolled. They need to be rolled because on full turn lock the wheel will rub on them but not at any other time. The rear fenders should not be touching the wheels ever. I suppose if you had very thick spacers on the hubs and the car was lowered you may find the rear wheels don't fit as they may touch the fender. But because their direction is static they should never touch the fender. I have 19" tyres on mine nad had to slightly roll the front fenders but not by much. I did this with pure muscle. No tools needed.

POST 3Original post

I'm in the same boat as you--I need to roll my rear (not front) inside fenders AND i'm in San Jose. When you find a place, let me know. I have 19x11" rears (315/25/19) and with -1.6 degrees rear camber the tires will rub on the inside lips of the rear fenders if you're lowered. I guess i just can't drive that hard...

POST 4Original post

Offset, change in width or rims, change in width of tires and (lowered) suspension at full compression can all cause the rear lip to hit the rear tires... very common. Go to any Techart dealer, they should have the associated Techart fender rolling tool which quickly and painlessly rolls the arches, no resprays etc needed.
