Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've got a good friend with money buring a hole in his pocket for a 2000 or later Ocean Blue 996, he prefers tiptronic (real estate salesman, drives the car a bunch, does not want to shift, blah blah blah). Anyway, he's a good guy so I told him I'd put up a notice. He's on the West Coast but would probably consider a car from just about anywhere in the States. Email me at [email removed] and I'll forward the info or just put you in contact with him directly. Thanks

POST 2Original post

Not Ocean Blue... but there was a beautiful Midnight Blue with special order cream interior and blue stitching on ebay... let me see if I can find the link

Here you go... looks stunning http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...496331802&rd=1

POST 4Original post

wow! Thats some serious options!! I wonder how much all that stuff weighs.

POST 5Original post

If this is his first Porsche, make sure he understands that these cars are a la carte - just about everything is an option. Make sure he understands what options he wants on the car. As an example, the car above does not appear to have PSM, Porsche Stability Management. Although many options can be added later, this one cannot. I spent 4 months looking for the "right" car. Don't rush.

Thanks very much for the reference, I'll pass it on. That's one nice car. I'll explain the points you mentioned, it is his first Porsche. That color might work thought he's got a thing for Ocean blue. We'll see what happens. Thanks again for the help.
