Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Is the rear hatch interchangeable b/w the normal and the S variants?

POST 2Original post

no, the s, turbo variants are widebodies, regular carreras' and gt3s' are narrow bodies.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I realize that but does that mean that the hatch is different as well? Usually the width is in the quarter panels not the trunks.

POST 4Original post

i dont think it is a matter of physically being able to fit, but more of an aesthetic. i believe that the width might be the same, but the hatch/lid has a groove towards the bottom that matches with that of the rear tail ligths which the narrow bodies do not have.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well in looking at the rear lights the difference appears to be that the clear part of the tail lights are larger but the red trim seems to be the same size. If the slope of the rear fender at the body line matches then it might look ok. Or one could simply buy an S.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Looking again seems that the inner edge of the red part slants in towards the bottom. The C2 engine lid appears to come straight down. Will look again tonight to confirm but I think I answered my own question. Love that red strip in the rear.
