This is the first thread I have started and I'm hoping my rennlist family can help me out. A very good friend of mine is looking to buy a 996 and he is interested in this car. What do you all think of the car and what do you think a fair price would be? The car was listed on e-bay at a buyitnow price of $37,500 but did not sell. Any and all advice is very much appreciated http://www.rsfm.com/detail-2002-pors...a-2377906.html

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

looks good, $37k is good.. I think its worth looking into. PPI, records etc, etc
Redridge, thanks a lot!! Seems like it's worth looking in to so I'll let him know and see what comes of it. Thanks again and as a side note, your car and the pics you take are some of my favorites. Keep it up
My buddy picked up an almost identical car (Midnight blue over black) for $40k even. At 37K this seems like a good deal. Of course, contingent on a positive PPI.
Very similiar to mine.....but mine's an 03 and only had 8,000 miles when I bought it last summer....then again I paid a lot more then 37K. For sure get a PPI done and if the car passes ...I say GO FOR IT!!!!
RyeHigh and discoganya, thanks guys for your input. Rennlist is a great forum with great people. All the more reason for my buddy to purchase a P Car that way he can be part of the family. Seems like it is 100% worth the extra look and PPI of course. Again I thank everyone
The only thing that I would add to the advice from above (it's a good price and get a PPI), try to get any service records, but usually that is difficult to do if you're not buying it from a P-car dealer or an individual who may have all the records.
Eric, Thanks! that is good advice also and I had forgotten to tell him that. It doesn't hurt to try and find the service info if possible.
