Anyone see decent generic rubber floor mats that will fit the 996?

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

i just bought a set of weathertechs that are supposed to fit the 996...should be coming in the next few days. If you wait a few days I'll let you know how they fit... they were $49.00 all in including shipping/tax (cheapest I found)... I'll let you know...
Performance Products sells a very nice clear plastic mat for the 996 that allows the color of your factory cloth mats show through without getting dirty. And they're not very expensive.
I bought the WeatherTech 996 rubber mats a couple of months ago, and when they arrived, it was clear that they'd need significant modifications to fit in the 996 (not a minor trim, as advertised). So I returned them and haven't yet found a good solution.
Someone posted this link last week...its the best alternative I've seen yet. http://www.huskyliners.com/porscheapps.html
Yeah, that was me, I think?! The best price I found was $67 at autoadvantage.com. With free shipping. I've order a set of fronts. Disclaimer: I have no affiliation with autoadvantage.com. Just trying to help out.
I have these mats. They fit well but do move around a bit more than I would like. On the driver's side mat I found that the edge immediately under the clutch pedal would catch on the lip of the clutch pedal when it was depressed - with a result which was most unpleasant. This was resolved by removing some of the mat edge. Overall I would rate these very good at collecting the debris which gets tracked in when getting in and out of the car and excellent at containing water, etc.
I ended up buying the Weathertechs and cutting to fit. They are a good quality mat that doesn't move, even if you forget to take it out for an autocross event :/ . However, they are not wide enough so there is a strip of exposed carpet next to the door that collects water and dirt.
