Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Here is a link from the 997 Forum that details how to hardwire a 997 Cab. If the lighting/wiring is similar on a 996 Cab, this might work for you. https://rennlist.com/forums/997-forum/228360-diy-v1-switched-power-hardwire-installation-for-the-997-a.html
Not really answering your question, but I installed my V1 my tapping the cell phone jack in the center console. It was a piece of cake, no soldering or cutting required (as long as you have the V1 power tap) and there is a ton of room to work with. thank you both!
I custom made this cable two years ago before I rerun the power to the fuse box. I have a C4 cab and the cable shares the power of the dome light.
