Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello, With the overall fluctuations in early 996 prices.. I thought I would seek the input of the experts(you guys/gals). My brother in law is looking at this car ..... http://www.autotrader.com/dealers/dd...9508&cardist=0 assuming ppi/RMS all check out...give me some input on price point to offer... Thanks!!!!!

POST 2Original post

Seems priced about right......if you could walk away with a 99CAB for 35K that would be a great deal IMHO. Of course, that is pending a THOROUGH ppi that comes up clean. No stories.

POST 3Original post

Car looks real nice, although maybe you could get them down even more since it is a Tip......

POST 4Original post

I didn't catch that (tip). Between the tip and all that wood, I can't imagine though they are getting much interest in the car. I don't see why it can't be had for low 30's.

POST 5Original post

yes, wood and tip. well it's in a M-Benz dealership so what do u expect! make sure you check out the roof carefully, lots cars with hard top tend to keep the softtop for the whole winter, and cause damage to the soft roof.

POST 6Original post

I'd be really suprised if you couldn't get that car for 34k, but I must admit it has a lot of options on it. The tip definately reduces its value.

POST 7Original post

If they dont go down, that means they bought the car too high, especially if it's a trade in.. if it came from an auction then maybe you'll have a chance.. remember this is a major dealer..
