Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

28 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 7Original post

id say silver, but the black give it a "race look"

POST 9Original post

The black ones are too much wheel on the car. Apart from that I always think of winter tires when I see black wheels. People here often tend to put the ugliest black steel rims on with their winter tires.

POST 13Original post

Silver, without a doubt! If you really want a little extra bling, paint your calipers red. Cost = $15. Red calipers would look GREAT on your car!

POST 15Original post

Black if they are track wheels. Silver for the street.

POST 17Original post

Personal choice really, but I'm not a huge fan of the black on black wheel look. So my preference is for the silver. It looks great with the silver colour of your car and the skirts.

POST 19Original post

Silver. The black looks a little ghetto-cool though but then again, I'm a little partial to bling myself.

POST 20Original post

since it is a 40th anny, i'd stick with silver because it is that metallic GT shade of silver (unique in it's own way)... Otherwise, if they were "normal" five spokes, I'd say black...

POST 21 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks guys, you confirmed my plan.... Black for the track and polished aluminum for the streets.

POST 22Original post

Silver I guess the 40ths came with black calipers...?

POST 25Original post

LiveNupe - the overwhilming majority likes the silver. I would love a set of black rims for my black car, so if you get rid of those, I would look into buying them. I am also in the LA area.

POST 27Original post

i vote silver, black would be sweeter if the car was black.

POST 28Original post

Wow, believe or not when I voted for silve I was also thinking "though black would look kinda cool at the track"
