Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I recently priced out the parts for a heated seat DYI with my local dealer and Sunset Porsche. Sunset sells for cost +15% and is great. I discovered that the local dealer's prices were actually 23-25% over the Porsche list price (confirmed this with a 10/05 price list). So if you are getting prices from some dealers they may be signiificantly higher than actual list. I find this amazing. This particular dealer also charges $149.00/hr. labor.

POST 2Original post

We call that capitalism at its finest. That is the very reason I do 2 things before I buy anything: 1. Solicit advice here on the boards to see if anybody has any leads for the best price on a specific part. 2. Call Sunset. Saved serious $$$ everytime.

POST 3Original post

I remember when I went to buy PSE a few years ago the local dealer wanted $3000! But i asked them to match an advertised price ($1500), freakin amazing.
