I'm a little confused with wheel spacers. I thought that Porsche OEM only made 5mm and 17mm spacers. However, on PCA , Joel mentioned that there were 7mm factory bolts also. I am about to purchase the 5mm spacers for my 2000 cabrio because they are OEM. However, a 7mm OEM option might be very compelling. I don't want to go wider than that and risk that really-wide-wheel look (my apologies to everyone that has 17mm spacers, but it just looks a little too aftermarket to my eye). So, the question is: does anyone know if there is indeed a 7mm option in addition to the 5mm and 17mm spacers? Or was this a spacer and Joel meant to type 17? Thanks.

Porsche only sells the 5 and 17mm spacer as far as I know. The longer lug bolts are about 7mm longer than stock, which you will need.
Chris is correct. Porsche only sells 5 and 17. When you order the 5MM kit it comes with the new longer bolts as well. I added the 5MM kit and think it looks perfect. I agree with you as well that the 17MM does not look that good. I have seen them on the rear of some cars and it looks WAY to far out like the wrong wheel offset was installed. Now if they would have just make something in the 7-10MM range IMHO it would have been perfect.
5mm it is. Ordering them today. Thanks guys.
The purpose of 17mm spacers is to allow optional wheels offered to the entire line to be fitted to wide body cars, ie sport technos for example, my rear offset is 63et(aka NB offset) on an 11" rim( the std C4S/TT rear et is 45). They are doing the same with the 997 series, some optional rims require 17mm offset. Installing 17mm spacers on a nb car is idiotic and not the purpose the PAG engineers had in mind.
I just got back from the shop and had some H&R 7mm spacers (4) put all the way around with the 20 H&R lugnuts.. PERFECT fit, PERFECT tuck.. 1 more mm would be too much.. 7mm all around on a narrowbody =
