Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Doing some basic upgrades and fixes before spring sets in. Is there any point to an upgraded steel oil pan baffle, LN engineering site suggests there is no point, but I have the pan off already for other reasons...? I have a small creaking/pinging/knocking noise from right front, usually when cold and then goes away after a few blocks. Not related to steering input and not when going over small things, ruling out steering rods and sway bar brackets. When raising car, I can hear it too, which is how I know it is the right front. Top strut mount seems a likely culprit, but what parts do I need, there seems to be many things when I look at e.g. Pelican parts like rubber things, nuts and whatever, without having it apart, I don't know what all those things are. Thanks in advance for any help! (all this is for my 02 c4s) Michael
