Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

When i lock my car I get a strange noise coming from the gas cover. is this a mater of just lube or does it require replacing? Larry

POST 2Original post

Could try lubing it with something like Plexus. I used to hear a clunk of sorts but messed with mine and also lubed it. Now I don't recall hearing anything from their for a long time. You should check if the lid is locking when locking the doors. There is a collar for where the plunger goes through the bodywork. Maybe the sleeve is displaced and the plunger rubs like mine was doing. I kind of remember it as being tricky dealing with the apparatus.

POST 3Original post

+1 ^ The little plastic widget ferrule collar thingy that the lock slides through has probably come lose or missing or the locking solenoid is on it's way out.
