Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Not sure how I feel about this. I do like the fact that the a$% just drops off on our cars, but does this add a certain subtle style? http://www.ebay.com/itm/PORSCHE-98-0...#ht_8294wt_952

POST 2Original post

Not a fan, but it's your car. I like the idea of the stealthy spoiler, which separates our cars from all of the other cars out there.

POST 3Original post

+ 1 No likey. The deflection angle of the add on when actual spoiler deploys will be odd. Unless the "stealthy" spoiler is deactivated (?)

POST 4Original post

That particular spoiler was designed for Cabriolets so they could have a spoiler, too (look closely at the picture in the ad - its a cabriolet). Usually, the Aero Cup spoilers designed for coupe tails won't clear the cabriolet top mechanism during transit. The metal body section just above the engine cover lid raises up and back to allow the cabriolet top to fold down in. Taco spoilers and GT3 Spoilers are too tall and begin much farther forward. But maybe you already knew this but wanted to add it to a coupe anyway. The "low profile" spoilers are often added to coupes. The rest is just your taste.

POST 5Original post

NO Likey! But I'm a wing man. When I still had the oem one on I didn't leave the house without putting it up. I just think they look to plain without one, but that's just me.

Agreed. Don't like it. But I'm a cab owner and looking at a 'taco' wing. Is this the wing you're speaking of in terms of it not working with the cab mechanism?

POST 12Original post

No likey 10,0000 it's really awful looking...

POST 13Original post

I like the idea of a small spoiler like that, but that particular one doesn't look very good. I was thinking a "basket handle" from a 993 might look good on the back of a 996.

POST 19Original post

At first I didn't think it was that bad, but then I saw the picture with the OEM spoiler up and that ruined it. The more I looked at the photos, the more it started to look too small for the car as well.

POST 20Original post

Hmm. I'll dissent. I kind of like it. Don't think I'd put it on my Cab, but I don't think it looks terrible.

POST 21Original post

Still like the rear end on our cars the way they are. No likey.

POST 23Original post

I have that on my C4 and it looks great... go for it!

POST 24Original post

I can post some pics (tomorrow after I am done with V-day) but it looks great, plus you can see when ur rear wing goes up in your rear view mirror>>> you will like it

That would be great if you could post some pics... How about this one then? You Tube

POST 29 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just so you guys know, I have no intention of putting a wing/spoiler on the back. I just thought it would stir up some "talk".
