Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Indy working on my car sent me an e-mail last night asking if I had the radio code. Didn't see anything like that in the owners manual and e-mailed him back. Then he said it looked like a credit card and had 4 numbers on it. I didnt get anything like that with the car. Is the code maybe in the car somewhere on a label or something? Can I get it from the dealer? Not sure what the next steps should be to locate it.

POST 2Original post

Check the inside cover of the radio manual (not the owner's manual). Lots of people write it in there. Otherwise, you can go to Renntech and ask Loren to check it for you.

POST 3Original post

And if you cant find it your dealer can, but will most likely charge you for it.

POST 4Original post

I have an original card in my leather owners manual case that has my code. I've also heard that is also sometimes kept on the underside of the front hood where the option sticker is.

Thank you all for your help. Indy was able to get the code from somewhere before I could get to Renntech. I very much appreciate the suggestions though. Ted

Hmm. There are posts in that thread as recent as Feb 13, 2012.

POST 8Original post

If you look under the front trunk, on the decal that if glued under that has all the option codes, it will be hand written by pen.

Not true. We still do Lost Radio Code lookups (and we never stopped doing them).

POST 10Original post

Sorry for the incorrect info, the Lost Radio Code thread looked like it was locked. I guess I didn't dig deep enough.

That is just a link to proper place to requests - that is why it appears locked. If you click on it it still will end up taking you to the Lost Radio Code page.

POST 12Original post

Mine is on the tag under the hood 'cuz I wrote it there after getting it from Ira Porsche Danvers Ma.
