Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey folks, popping from the 951/944 boards. I've got a 996 model CDR-23 radio unit that I'm trying to install into my 86' 944. Problem is, I don't have any of the pigtail connectors that go into the head. Where can I find them besides chopping them off the harness of a parted 996? I don't know much about the pinout of that particular head unit, but all I believe the standard 996 harness has 3 connectors that go into the back of the radio. In my 944 I only have 2 front sound channels and I dont have an antena. I am also not running an amp, so I only need to provide ground and key-on 12v+ vdc to the unit and the two LR outputs to my speakers. What is the easiest way to get this done? Thanks in advance gentleman!

Nevermind everyone, it was more trouble than it was worth for an old stereo unit, I purchased a new pioneer unit that has an aux input and some other nice features that I like more than I dislike the fact that it isnt an OEM Becker unit. Cheers.
