When pwr up and switching on the headlight usually the beam is automatic a/ first tilted and b/ then levelled. So it works on my BMW 330 XD, but not anymore on my 996 C4S. Using the C4S only in the summertime it normally would not be a issue, but I want the car to be 100% perfect. I talked to my local Porsche mechanic and he said there is a small electrical engine in the headlight housing that can be defective. Since both housing not align I guess the problem might be in the sensors or elsewhere. Reading the OBD interface gave no info. Anyone that experienced same problem ?

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I've not had this problem myself, but others have as discussed in the link below from Renntech.org: http://www.renntech.org/forums/topic...ction-failure/ Because both lights are affected I would first look for common failure points, which are the suspension location sensors/connectors/wiring and the Litronics computer. Good luck.
