I have a set of Baja Designs amber LED fog lights I want to install in the front bumper of my 996.2 (4S) and am in need of mounting advice. I'd prefer to put the lights in the center lower opening of the front bumper skin between the radiators (likely modifying the center black trim piece) but there isn't really a great place to mount them. For those running supplemental fog or driving lights, how did you mount them? Did you have to fabricate a bracket or does someone sell them at retail?

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Not the look Im going for, but thanks!
Couldnt find pics of construction (10ish years ago). Basically, (2) 1.5 tubes coming straight out of bumper cover and connected by a fancy light bracket (angle iron w/speed holescut/bent welded into chevron (see photo from top view). The other end of the tubes are welded to flat stock behind the bumper cover. The flat stock is bolted to existing holes/bosses on the front of the frunk tub.
Thanks, but I’m looking form something less invasive. I have the small square LEDs and plan to do something more discreet that doesn’t require me to modify the bumper skin. More like this:
