Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey. So first few days. Lovely. bought a sitting car Bank 2 cam position sensor gone. oil sensor gone. Whatever But. I pulled out an old alpine nav and wiring getting ready for PCCM Plus. Tons of extra cables etc. after pretty much figuring everything out and cutting alot of cables I still have some questions. Alpine unit removed. What was here before hand? There is a simple hookup that looks stock and i have no clue what was here prior? Immobilizer is on driver side of this 4S Does this look stock? Where is this coming from i cant seem to figure out this last one. There is a cut wire in the engine bay. Looks to be going to the drivers light? Anyone have any idea? No idea Any clue what this little white box is or can i rip it out. Previous owner told me this car had a 'lojack\" Also a \"reverse sensor wire" going in behind the sub that i am having trouble getting to.

POST 2Original post

Hard to really see whats goingbin but i woild suggest a Bentley manual as they have full wiring schematics.

POST 3Original post

I concur with De Jeep and also say it's time for the "Scooby Doo Mystery" van to pull up with Thelma, Shaggy and the gang to solve this wired caper. I for one love a good mystery so something like this would be right up my alley of fun factor. "Build, figure out repeat and complete." I will be rooting for you as you figure out the how it all works and is put together. Looks like a lot of electrical tape was used to compile this project, I'm sure it will be tedious to peel off the tape and figure out the purpose of the wires behind the tape. Perhaps listing the year, model and options the car has with nice high-resolution pictures with arrows to wires you seek, perhaps would encourage others that have similar items to assist. I'll look around my engine compartment and see if I can provide some info of any use.
