Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

While changing out the driver's seat, I managed to knock the deck lid switch into the sill. Trying to fish it back up isn't working. The plate it fits into appears to be attached by two hex head screws deep under plastic plugs, that are not easy to get to. Anyone else has this happen, and any good tips to fix?

POST 2Original post

like you stated, use a long hex...3-4 inches long...i believe size is a 4mm or a 5mm. loosen just a little, does not need to be removed and the sill lifts up.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks! If the screws don't need to be removed, that will make it MUCH easier.

POST 4Original post

2 or 3 full turns is all you need. gotta pull straight up a little hard after that
