Hey folks, I adopted my dads old Porsche after he passed away and slowly trying to maintain it as he was pretty pish at doing stuff on it, especially in his old age. Replacing the air filter and looking at the air con flagged up a random clear tubing that was sitting in the car battery tray which looked dodgy! can anyway shed some light as to where this should be attached to?! Its not the petrol cap overflow, checked this already just in case. thanks in advance!

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

It's the battery vent hose.
That is the battery vent tube, if you look at the top of your battery in the picture you will see a hole there, looks like you have a AGM battery which does not need a vent like the old style fluid battery.
Magic, thank you very much guys. It is a different battery, as you can see so that totally makes sense.
