Is there switched power in the frunk? I have a Sony PIE to install. (It goes inline with the RCA cables from the CD changer and whenever it detects audio from the alternate source, it interrupts the audio from the CD changer in favor of the alternate source. Basically, it allows you to have a Bluetooth to RCA adapter AND retain the CD changer.) Mine is an '02 with the PCM 1.0 and Bose stereo.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Your amp should be on switched power, and is in the frunk - why not just tap into that?

Good point. I've never pulled it out to look at the connections going into it. Guess I'll do that!
