Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello All, I joined up in December, but have been lurking in the background reading different posts and thought it was time to say Hello. Anyway, In late November i bought a 996, Tip in Speed Yellow. (yes I would have liked the Manual better,) it had multiple things wrong with it, which was reflected in what I paid. Since buying it I have changed out the water pump, brakes. (Strange thing was that the ones on the front were to small, or rather not the right size) I found a, what I hope is a good Indy who did the IMSB and RMS. ( nothing wrong with the Bearing by the way, But didn't fancy playing Russian Roulette) I got caught up in all the Paranoia. I took out the TB and thoroughly cleaned that. Still a few things to do to get it where I want it to be. I did write a post yesterday about a weird Idle problem that I am having. Thanks, Knobby. I will get better pictures later on some time.

POST 2Original post

WELCOME! Good luck getting it all sorted out, that's half the fun!

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you Sir, I must admit I am having a blast.

POST 4Original post

Congrats...you got the best color! Enjoy after you sort things out.

POST 6Original post

Speed Yellow with side skirts. I like it. I wonder if the pad is actually for. Very wrong

POST 7Original post

Congratulations! Welcome to the club! I got caught up in the paranoia as well with my 996 C4S 2002. I pulled the bearing and looked and felt fine (did all the work on my back and jackstands).

POST 9Original post

Congratulations and welcome. Glad to see you're jumping into projects with both feet.

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for all the kind words. Nothing like a bit of madness in your life to keep things real.

POST 11Original post

Like Andy Grove said, “Only the Paranoid Survive”! Very nice car. I’ve been thinking about getting a tip as a daily commuter. Your car is great looking!

POST 12Original post

Welcome! There have been a few posts lately, yellow cars. Nice to see some colorful cars with enhanced bodies, different wheels, etc. Im sure you are having fun - these 911s dont really seem to get old with 300HP on a light weight platform.
