I am looking at getting a set of 19" 997 Lobster Claw (i think thats there name) wheels. they are 19x8 19x11 mounted on 235/35/19 and 305/25/19. 1) Does anyones have any picts of a 996 with those wheels, I would love to have one from the side and one from 3/4. 2) Will these wheels actually fit? 11 seams a little wide for a 996 C2. Thanks! Arthur

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Here you go! Fits nicely - rides really well - firmer than 18" Some fit spacers on the fronts - I didn't and don't feel the need to. Chris.
Thanks Chris! You dont happen to have any directly from the side do you, Im just not sold the style goes with the 996 body but yet I love the 3/4 pict you posted. Also are yours the 11 inch rears? what size tire do you have on there? Thanks again! AC
I went with Toyo's and have been very happy with them, wet and dry. As you can see, the rear is 11, but this is no issue on my 03 996.
Tires are Toyo T1R in 235/35/19 and 315/25/19 The 315 rear is excellent, and the Toyo design has a nice bead that protects the rim from damage. I don't have a side-on shot to hand I'm afraid - I'll see if I can dig one up!
Thanks again Chris for all your help! AC
Great pictures - sweet looking car.. I'm thinking about getting these same wheels (I'm still on 17"), and I think they look great. I'd like to see more pictures if anyone has some. Also I'm curious how much I could pick up a set of these for(?).
i think you should powdercoat it black....... it would look sweeeeeeeet!
Here is my side view. It is a 99 with the aero kit. I think the wheels really accentuate the Aero kit and give it an updated look. It has been confused (from the rear) for a 997 a few times.
you guys dont have any rubbing issues?

Here is a close up of the wheel, you can kind of see the red calipers behind it. They really stand out with these wheels.
I had some rubbing on the inner fender well of the rear. I took out a 4 inch peice of inner wheel well plastic and it was fine. Other than that they were fine.
How much were those toyo's and where did you get them?
No rubbing issues for me - straight fit onto the car. Car is not lowered. Looks exactly like a 997 when you squint, looking through one eye, from a distance of over 1 mile......
I got the Toyos through Wheel Dynamics of LA - they fitted them to the OEM Porsche wheels as part of the deal. http://wheeldynamics.net/ The low profile on the rear is crucial to keep the rolling radius the same as stock. There are only 4 manufacturers that even make 19" tires that will fit the rears, so not many choices. As it was a package deal I'm not sure of the individual Toyo price. You can probably find a local toyo dealership here: http://toyo.tenmagazines.com/docs/findadealer.asp Chris.
Actually it is a RD (Rolling Diameter). But who's counting Just playing with ya Chris! It's early, I'm snowed in here in Raleigh, and BORED out of my skull.
Ooooo you tease! OT: Yep, my office manager in NC said it was looking a little snowy outside this morning - he's supposed to be heading into Charlotte later for a meeting. How bad is it?
It was really bad this morning but now it is slowly clearing up. My wife actually just left for her clinic since she has patients booked all day but I teach in the morning so class was cancelled. Looks like I am playing hookey today! Tomorrow it is supposed to be sunny and in the low 50's.
Looks like you can buy them on EBAY for a grand. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PORSC...QQcmdZViewItem Chris.
Or from TIRES-EASY http://ssl.delti.com/cgi-bin/details...578&Country=US
Anyone know what rims these are? I thought they were aftermarket but it says Germany in the casting. Are these Porsche OEM? 19 x 8.5 and 19 x 10 No spacers
