Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So I pulled my door handle today and I heard something pop. Now my Door handle hangs out a little bit. It still functions but when I shut the door or go around left turns the handle comes out a little bit which causes my window to drop about 1/4 inch (I have the convertible). I assume that it is the spring in the door that broke. Anyone got any insight/advice?

POST 2Original post

Easy fix. I had a Boxster that did the same thing and my 996 did it to. Just remove the door panel. Look it up on you tube how to do it.There are a few screws to get to and snaps. But basically it is easy ,You will see the spring dangling. I just removed it and bent the tip that broke and reconnected it .

POST 3Original post

Same thing happened to my Cayman. An easy fix, as stated above.
