Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

After 20 years of 944 ownership I just purchased my first 996. It is a Dark Blue Aero Kit with grey interior. Once I have a chance I will post some better pics. I've not had the best results looking for the option code translation, so if anyone could help I will be very thankful. Thanks 996 Owners,

POST 2Original post

XAA = factory aero kit, so you've got that go in' for you. Nice looking car. Aero kit is the best option, IMHO.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks, I think the Aero kit really completes the look of the 996.

POST 4Original post

Those wheels look great on the MkI also. Someday I'll like to find a used set for mine and turn my twists into winter wheels. Do you still have your 944? Was it a base 944 or something else?

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It was a 944s2 that I sold to a Rennlist member in Missouri. Loved that car, but felt it was time to sell and move to a more modern Porsche.

POST 6Original post

gotcha, OP did get one with a grey interior.

POST 16Original post

Very nice aero, congrats and welcome to the 996 forum.

POST 17Original post

Great looking car. What does "9991 manufacture from the exclusive-programme " refer to?

POST 18Original post

Quotes source post: 11789852

I believe that means that the car was ordered by the customer, he could pick anything he wanted and the order is sent to Germany to be filled. The options were not just picked by the factory and sent to the US to be sold.

My bad, im getting old. Too bad, brown would've been a great combo.

POST 20 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Savanagh Beige interior was my first choice, but my wife said it looked like mustard. I thought the grey interior was a good compromise. I spent yesterday afternoon and most of today driving around. I need to do a little hands on investigation, it sounds like it has a sport exhaust and feels like the sport suspension but the option codes don't support that. The car sure handles quicker and accelerates much faster than my 944s2. I'm looking forward to getting out on the track next spring.
